Repeat prescriptions, including special diets, must be requested at least 24-hours before they are required.
Repeat prescriptions can only be given if your pet is on long term medication, is stable and has been seen by a vet in the last six months. The vet may require more frequent checks dependent on the health of your pet. These checks are required by law for all prescription medications. The purpose is to monitor the general health of your pet, check that the medication is still being effective and that there are no side effects from the drugs prescribed. With certain medications, periodic blood tests may also be required.
To order your repeat prescription please contact the small animal reception on 01267 220404 or complete the form below. You will be asked for your pet’s name, the name of the drug and asked to confirm the dosage he/she is on.
If you require a written prescription, please contact us as above. We are happy to provide a written prescription for a small fee, under the same guidelines as above.
